What is VoIP(Voice over Internet Telephony Protocol)

VoIP (Voice over Internet Telephony Protocol) is a telephony technology that allows users to make and receive calls using the Internet rather than traditional telephone lines.

Unlike traditional telephone systems which are limited to analog phones on employees' desktops, VoIP allows users to make and receive business calls from laptops, tablets, regular smartphones (using an app) as well as IP telephones.

As all calls are made over the internet, it is very cost effective to make both domestic and long distance (international) calls.

In addition to cost savings, users also get a wealth of business office phone features such as call waiting, call routing, caller alert tones, automatic switchboard, multiple phone numbers and much more.

VoIP is a more cost effective way of obtaining business telephone numbers for businesses than traditional plain old telephone lines.
